On Sunday we went to the Early Printing Museum (청주고인쇄박물관). That is where the first metal printing press in the world and Jikji (the first book made with the first metal printing press in the world) was made. We watched an interesting movie about Jikji which was in English. We saw lots of exhibits about making paper, wooden printing presses and metal printing presses. But I got bored because the exhibits were in Korean. There were lots of models showing how the paper and the metal type were made and how the books were printed and bound. One good thing is that the museum was free. Next door to the museum was the Heungdeoksa historic temple where the Jikji was printed. There is a bronze bell and a Buddha statue in the temple.
